That system probably draws 180W at most, so you should be fine.

May i know how u get this figure?
I use the extreme power calculator it show need around 3++W power supply.
Which i worry might not stable in future if other hardware added.

beside any comment of this Extreme 500W power supply? Because I c the Extreme 600W comment From JonnyGuru like not very good.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Those online PSU calculators can't be trusted for anything. Using the actual system power draws measured here at SilentPCReview (http://www.silentpcreview.com/article28-page4.html), I estimated that your system is somewhere in between the Mid P4 and the High P4. I won't bother looking it up since it's not worth the time, but my guess is that a 7300GT draws less power than a 9800XT, which would place your system somewhere close to the 180W mark of the Mid P4.

So just try it. Nothing bad is likely to happen.

Wrong. At last Intel made Conroe energy consumption friendly.
Your setup will be fine with a good brand 400W PSU. Your peak consumption will be at boot when those HDD's and optic drives will be powered, then you'll be around 160W in full load.

Thanks for help. Now i know which PSU to take.
I think i ll go for C/M Extreme 430W or Acbel IPower 450W since not sure about the performance of C/M Extreme 500W

I'd pass on the CM Xtreme 430. Don't skimp on a psu. If you're in the states, try ZZF's Ultra X-Finity 500w (blue) for $35 after rebate.

The Xtreme 430 is ok for the pr ice, but you can do better. Especially with a core 2 duo.

Since you are in Asia, any chance of getting a Seventeam psu?

Hmm, try the Silverstone ST40EF. It's not too expensive, it's high quality, and it'll do everything you want it to do.
