Factor in the ultra-quiet Pulse Width Modulation fan

I've always wondered if that 80mm fan would be "ultra quiet"? or sub-par. I guess with 85% effeciency it won't ge as hot.

Any idea on price?

Well, since no other guys offer sustained power, I guess 80 plus gold doesn't exist either. :D

Dunno about this new one, but I had a Quattro 850W and it was pretty darn quiet... running on the test bench with very little load.

Once installed in my "ultra quiet" computer (at the time, Antec Solo with undervolted Yate Loons, suspended HDDs, passively cooled CPU & GPU) it got really noisy after a few minutes. :wall: Really, really noisy. My current setup with fan-cooled everything and a GTX 260 with stock cooler does not get as noisy as that Quattro did once loaded and heated up.

anyways after looking at the 80plus report. @20% load efficiency is not a screamer unlike the evo1250

@50% load, efficiency isn't that high either.the evo1250 had better efficiency...


@100%load, efficiency was @85% or so, just enough for silver...

now i wonder how the ripple suppression this unit is capable of
