Scrap it or use it?

I told a friend of mine to get a Corsair 400 watt and he picked up a Rosewill RG430-2 430W 80Plus Certified instead, because it had more watts and was cheaper. I know it will power his system he's only using a 65watt CPU and onboard graphics. Just how bad is the quality of this PSU?

One thing I'll give Rosewill it has the best manual I've ever seen come with a PSU.

Rosewill is decent.

I still have a 500w rosewill stallion running my server with dual 3.06 xeons. Of coarse, I don't run it when I'm not around for obvious reasons.

It all depends on the model, some Rosewills are "ok", others are pure POS!

Rosewill changes specs & OEM's without notice & continues using the same part numbers, so without opening the case, you never know.
