Say I wanted to put a ~2.5W load on the 5V rail to meet the minimum load requirements. Someone is modding a Turbo-cool 1200W to be a GPU only power supply and is asking me how to best create a dummy load. Since that unit uses DC-DC for both the 3.3V and 5V, I figured it needed a load on each (0.8A for the 3.3V and 0.5A for the 5V) to meet the min requirements. Would a 25W ceramic wire-wound resistor be able to handle that reliably? If not, what would be the best way to go about this?
