This problem started about a week ago. my computer will not boot to Vista 64 bit. When i boot in safe mode and check the device manager the only piece of hardware that is having an issue is one of my 8800GTX's the device description says it didn't load correctly if i disable the card Vista boots fine. I've tried the newest version of the nvidia drivers and even tried reloading the 178.24 drivers as the 180 series always seemed to give me problems. also tried reinstalling the motherboards drivers too. The timing doesn’t coincide with any hardware or software install or windows updates. Although it might coincide with my gf's friends 2 year old clicking off the power strip while ut3 was running.

My computer is also a duel boot with XP installed that os load fine with both graphics cards running in sli. no problems at all.

i tired to repair Vista with the repair function and with the console and neither worked the repair diagnosis stated that it was a driver issue.

hers some of my system stats:
Asus 570 sli amd
AMD FX-62
6 gig ddr 2 800
2x 8800 GTX in sli
2x 340 gig in raid 0 hdd
850w toughpower

I had a similar issue over the weekend with my Quad SLI GX2 setup. I ended up uninstalling the cards, trying them one at a time. New drivers, old drivers, you name it. No matter what I did, it wouldn't let me enable Quad SLI....

I ended up formatting the drive and reloading Vista to get it to come out of it.
