OK, we have a winner from Enermax. It looks like they're on the right track now.

again they see rather large voltage drops, like they did on the Coolermaster UCP....I wonder if something is wrong with their equipment.

Oh no bad news don't say that, tomorrow never comes;)
Seriously I can't wait as soon as you stick your approval or not I will buy or not dependant on the review, might sound strange as other people have tested it but I trust your independant reviews and I know how much effort you put in to make them accurate, your the No1 PSU tester/reviewer in my book.

it takes him longer to write a review when he is constantly looking in the mirror!

Believe it or not, there aren't too many mirrors around here I can look into without getting a backache... I'm well over 6 feet tall, and they aren't :p

So what about THE jonnyGURU himself?
btw: I'm 6.07 feet tall XD

Also tall, though I've never met him in person. If I'm Dolph Lundgren, he's David Hasselhoff. Maybe an inch and a half difference, if that much.

That's when you start wearing funny hats. I'd do that already, but I'd keep knocking them off on the doorways around here.
Driver's license says 6' 6," but really I'm about a half inch to a quarter inch under that. I have only one cousin taller than I am... everyone else has to look up to me, including my 6' 4" brother in law.
Not sure I'll mind shrinking - I have plenty of altitude I can lose ;)
Then again, I probably lost a good two inches at Wal-Mart today just standing there waiting. 5pm, hundreds of customers, yet they can't open more than one till?

Well I'm a real shorty started off at 5ft 10 1/2" but after a back injury and crushed 2 discs I'm down to 5ft 8 1/2" and I'm only 46 so even more shrinking to do I'm afraid.
Can't believe 2 discs and 2" can cause so much pain though, I'm on 38 tablets a day and can't stand or walk for more than a few minutes, so much pain for such a small size.

Don't kid yourself...that is the standard practice at Wal-mat no matter how good the encomony is. They build 15 checkouts and only have one or two open no matter how many people get into line.
Edit-Wal-mat misspelling was not intentional...but it seems fitting

jonnyGURU is close to my height, not sure if 5' 10" is considered tall or average these days. My wife however is tall for a woman at 5' 8".

Mife wife's 6 foot and has had had 2 discs surgically removed from her spine, I got used to it pretty quickly but I didn't like it when she wore high heels and was about 8" taller than me, we have 2 friends who the man is about 6ft 5" and his lady is about 5ft 3" so me and the wife often stand with them if we're out I stand with his wife and my wife stands with him that way we don't look too far out of place.:D

I hope thats a typo! I would think that most people by now, know that in order to SLI cards, they have to be using the same GPU. So SLIing a GTX 295 with a GTX 285 will not work.

The reason he thinks your shiling for a company is because you named off three video cards that cant be sli togeather, or at least thats what i think.

Call me naive, but I have never understood why people pay so much money to build a machine whose primary use is folding.....as if their one machine will actually show some sort of substantial result....

my sister died from cancer...her therapy costs 6digits... my computer is less than 2000$...excluding the watercooling lol
on topic: i might consider this 85+...because of the modular cables and the dual eps..for folding the higher the efficiency the lower the loses will be for folding...

... which PSU manufacturers are quite happy about. 4 GTX295s are beyond any PSU's limit but they're calling for the capable one.

Sorry to hear about your sister.
I also would be looking for a high effciency PSU that way you can fold more for less $$$.
You keep going people like you DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE and be proud for doing it.

I admire people who selflessly donate money and time for the welfare of others.

I've been on the lookout for 1000W+ PSU's with 90%+ efficiency and it looks like there's gonna be a few just around the corner from Enermax, Channel Well, and High Power.
4 GTX295s are beyond any PSU's limit but they're calling for the capable one.
There's a decent 1500W PSU from Thermaltake and Xigmatek, which should be enough to power 4 GTX295's (TDP 290W x4 = 1160W). Also, Ultra has a 1600W PSU but it's less efficient.
You keep going people like you DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE and be proud for doing it.
Quote for truth.

again, maybe I am naive, but I would think for actual impact that money would be better spent on a charity specifically researching cancer, or whatever other genetic ailment you most want to be cured.
Hondacity obviously is not one of these people, but many people seem to get a bigger kick out of their folding score than the actual good they might doing with their computers. Then again I am not sure I understand the people who overclock just for overclocking sake and not to actually boost the performance or applications.
Trying not to stray too far from topic, the efficiency of a PSU will not at all affect how well your computer runs a folding program, however it will obviously affect how much power it uses while doing this.
