OK, I'm about to change my two 4850's to two 4870 1Gb in a few week.
I am running my Q6600 with 1.5v core, that means probably 150w full load just for it. I am pretty sure with a smaller OC and smaller voltage I could run the two 4870's with my Enermax, but I don't want to risk.
So I figured out I need something in the 650W range.
Important things (most important in first place)
1) quiet
2) quiet (I'm running the rig 24/7)
3) high efficiency
4) modular
5) low ripple/noise
6) suitable for quadcore tunning and crossfire
7) did I mention quiet?
Now the problem is, there are very few competitors in this class available here:
- Enermax Modu82+ 625w
- Enermax Liberty Eco 80+ 620w
- Corsair HX620
- Hiper HPU-5K680 (and various other Hipers, Andyson/CWT units rebranded)
- Coolermaster RealPower M620 RS-620
- Coolermaster Silent Pro M600 RS-600 and various other higher wattage CM's
and pretty much that's all.
I would go for the Antec Signature 650 but it is not available.
So which of them is the "ultimate"? I don't really care about the price at this time, I am glad to spend a few bucks more if I could have something that would last for another one year.
Thanks for all of your comments in advance.

Of those, I'd have to go with the Liberty Eco.

Why not the Modu82+ Oklahoma Wolf? You said yourself that the Eco is based on the Modu but has only two 12V rails isntead of the three rails of the Modu82+.

It would work too, but I don't have experience with that one.

Ok thanks. Was just wondering if there was something about it specs that made you consider it to be inferior for whatever reason.
I bought the 525W Modu btw and it's slightly less noisy than the Corsair HX520W, the fan still makes a slight "sliding" noise though. I haven't been able to tell yet whether the better 12V output results in better overlocking but I guess I won't notice it anyway.
I'm really looking forward to the Enermax Eco (not Liberty Eco) though, I bought some of the "Magma" fans that they'll use in the Eco and while I hate the red blades they are definitely the best fans I've ever heard, beats my Scythe S-Flex And Slipstreams, Yate Loons and Noctuas easily. I wonder why these aren't popular at places like SPCR...

If quietness is very important thent he Liberty Eco/Modu82+ are slightly superior to the Corsair HX in my eyes, and significatnly better than my VX550s (not modular, but probably similar in noise to other CWT units with Adda fans). Your Enermax may even be better than mine, the fan quality in the current Enermax units varies somewhat and my fan is rather on the bad side I guess.
If you don't mind fan modding I can highly suggest getting a Magma fan. I'm thinking about it myself but I first want to listen to the stock fan a little more.

Comparing OK's review of the Enermax Liberty Eco 620W (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=136) to Paul's review of the Enermax Modu82+ 625w (http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQ4MiwsLGhlbnRodXNpYXN0), I'd go with the Enermax Modu82+ 625w, myself.

The modular distribution + plugs is the real factor here, it's a lot better on the Modu82+. It also provides more power on the 12V rails, while still maintaining roughly the same ripple/noise as the Liberty Eco.

Comparing Modu\Pro to ECO series is not quite right. The ECO seems to be an Enermax try to reduce costs from the Modu series while maintaining good performance and quietness, but there are less rails, Chinese vs Japanese caps on the secondary, less efficiency, seems the OTP is not active on the ECO etc... Quite reminds me of the corsair VX vs CX. Not that the ECO is a bad PSU, on the contrary, it gets very good reviews, but I'd certainly go for the Modu\Pro series which seems of a higher quality.

so basically I'm eighter getting an enermax, or an enermax?
that's fair, I like my modu82+ 425
still: would be the antec better? should I ask my brother to send me one from the UK or it is just not worth the torture?
