Desktop or Server CPU?

i finally picked out my motherboard, i went with the Asus P5E WS Professional, but im once again back to my original problem; one i thought i could avoid.
They offer this board to run either Desktop or Server CPU's (Q9550 or X3360)
im not really sure which one to choose, its going to be a home server and run 24/7.
I know the Q9550 just got the updated E0 stepping but that doesnt really make a huge difference since i probably wont overclock it (maybe just to 3.2)

Which would you recommend and why?

Both CPUs are identical on paper, in terms of specks. The only thing i can think of is server CPU might have been "cherry picked" or in other words slightly better silicone, but that doesn't guaranty better overclocking, just better chances of it.
