NorthQ Black Magic Flex 850W PSU (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=93)

Seems a decent unit. So what's the big difference between this and the Giant Connector? Noise level kills my interest though.

Giant connector is based on an active-clamp forward + SR design while this Black Magic uses double-forward + 5V&3.3V buck post regulator. Giant Connector is Enhance built and more reliable.

and more reliable.

I'm not exactly sure I agree with this, especially since Kingnod is an unknown right now. Sure the cap selection is poor, but that's not the only impactor on reliability.

We need more long term data to know how reliable Kingnod is before we say it's less reliable than an Enhance build.

Neither am I. I'm interested in this Kingnod OEM, but there are so many small PC power manufacturers in Guangdong and I don't dare trust them. The fan control strategy of the unit makes it suspicious.
