Today I installed an Antazone AS-N1000 on my Asus A8N Deluxe...

The reason the AS-N1000 works so well is because of it's all copper construction, real fluid-filled heat pipes and very thin copper fins. The heat works it's way up the pipes, and is then dissipated to the circle of copper fins. Pretty effective! And at just under $30, pretty expensive! ;)

A lot of the passive NB coolers out there are too wide to fit between two video cards, but when the AS-N1000 is turned a certain way, there's no problem with fitment.

The AS-N1000 fits "looser" than most NB coolers I've used. Typically you have to position the arms and then tighten them down. Once they're tight, you can move the arms and the cooler pretty much stays put. But the arms on the AS-N1000 "flop around." There's only a little bit of "play" and it probably wouldn't be a problem for most people. It's no problem for me since the side of the AS-N1000 actually rests on the backing plate of the 7800GTX's heatsink.

What an ugly miniaturized ZAlman CNPS9500 ripoff.

Zalman FTW!! :p

Well.. first off... a Zalman CNPS9500 has a FAN! :D

And as much as I love Zalman, how is Zalman "FTW" if they don't make anything that cools adequately that can actually fit on an SLI board in between two cards?

ZM-NBF47? Nice, but too wide.

ZM-NB32K, 32J and 47J? Nice... but don't cool as well.

Maybe a Thermalright HR-05 will solve your problems. I've seen a pictuer of it with a zalman VF700, perfect fit, and it runs off the air from the vf700. Perfect fit too.

The HR-05 would have worked too.

But the AS-N1000 "solved" my "problems" quite nicely. ;)
