Hi.
I just noticed that the new bad axe 2 just came out http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2563503&CatId=0 i always wanted the first one but was put off by the fact that it only supported 667 MhZ memory. This one looks really good and i might sale my p5b deluxe for thsi board , you think it will be a good idea?
let me know if anyone here has any experience with the first bad axe , so hard to find reviews on this boards =/

I always wait for the reviews, but Intel/Foxconn is generally good stuff.
Why it supposedly only supports DDR2 FSB up to 667MHz, I'm not sure.

Nah your P5B is just fine. I believe they released the new one to support Quad-core and some other small features like a better BIOS, etc.
The new Bad Axe rev.2 isn't worth selling your P5B.
Here is a good review

Yep - I don't know where those snakes at TD found them - we are still on schedule for Dec 2.

The new board supports DDR2 800 memory and will have a bios update to accommodate the new 1333 bus system when those chips come out next year. The board is layered differently to accommodate the new 1333 bus system.

Still no new reviews of the BA2. I'm guessing it wont perform as well as the new 680i and will get lost in all the 680i hoopla. The P5B D/E still outperforms it in OCing. Basically the BA2 is a revised edition of the BA1. I havent seen anything to suggest it'll OC any higher than the original. But new BIOSes could change that. I'm keeping my eyes open for new info and reviews of this mobo.

They got a thread about it over on XS. One guy has a E6600 combined with it and so far up to 475fsb stable. That makes it the best of the 570 mobos so far. Considering all the problems with the 680i so far I may just get this mobo.
