help pick a new card=)

Ok i decided to change my sapphire x1900xt i have ir for sale on ebay :D
Imnot happy with it and i think that those crappy catalyst drivers are causing all kinds of system hangs on my pc and eating up a lot of system resources =( Plus it doesnt play my favorite games well , so i decided to jump on nvidia bandwagon .

between this card wich oen should i get :

EVGA e-GeForce 7950GT KO
Asus EN7900GTX
nvidia 8800 gts

i can get a really good deal on the asus 7900 gtx but im a little concerned cause i seen some reviews of people complaining that this card has died out on them after few week of game play do to bad memory and a poor design? any true to any of this?
I would love to get the new nvidia 8800 gtx but way to much money for me atm =)
Im pretty sure any of this card will be able to handle gaming at resolution of 1600by 1200 on my widescreen lcd monitor? at least im sure the 8800 gts should be more then fine with this =)

I'm getting the eVGTA 7950 superclocked. at $279 it's the same base price as thier other 7950GT (on the 'egg) but only has a $10 rebate...But hell, for $10 more I'd rather go for the highest clockspeed I can and it's all getting water cooled and bless the boys at eVGA it's still under warranty. It's still under warranty if you burn it out overclocking, gotta love that!

The cards that were screwing up were the OC'ed 7900GT's, they needed better cooling as the problems were typical OC related failures. Trust me on this, I'll be cooling that 7950GT far better than any air cooler on the market. It's getting an MCW60 and MCW Ramcool. I've kept SLI'd 7800GTX's at 38C under load with this loop. I think it should handle the 7950GT.

I guess im gona grab the evga GeForce 7900GTO from new egg at that price it looks good=)
I really like the 8800 gts but i just cant justify that 700$ price tag atm =( Plus i mostly play wow online and unreal tournament 2004 so i dont think that the gts 8800 is gona make such a huge difference on those old games.
And im gona stay away from the 7900 GTX cause i seen to many people having problems with this cards.
There is one thing i dont understand .....if a card is undercloaked it means i can overcloack it right? for example the 8800gts can be OC and the 8800 gtx cannot be oc?
So i guess the 8800gtx is gona run twice has hot has the 8800 gts and im a cautious man so ill rather go with something less hot ;)
Hopefully changing my video card and audio card is gona fix my system from randomly freezing at start up, but im pretty sure its gotta so much to do with creative crappy audio drivers =( im gona get an audigy 4 card has i think the audigy series was the most stable out of all the soundblaster cards they had.

The 8800GTS can be found for $450-460 if you shop carefully. As of this posting $468 is the cheapest using pricegrabber.com. If you are using resolution of 1600x1200 or less this is a pretty good card to get for top end performance. If it were me I'd try and snag a 7900GTO from eVGA and use their Step Up program End of January or beginning February. Sometime in February the other 8800 models supposedly come out. Prices should be considerably less then. But thats just how I'd do it. Kinda depends on needs/wants and what Mr. Wallet says.
