Hi,

I have been looking for a power supply with two 8 pin motherboard connectors but I only found a few of them...some silverstones with ridiculous prices and the enermax galaxy. What are the good powersupplies in this category?

I also thought about getting a second corsair HX520 (I already have a spare one) so each powersupply would power its own EPS12V. Is this feasible?

The computer: dual QX9775/skulltrail with 2 x 1TB hard drives, this machine is used exclusively for rendering so low power 3d card.

BTW my perfect setup for this build would be to have a standard lenght psu with both connectors. I realize there's absolutely no need for a 1k psu with this build but I haven't found anything in the 600-700W range that has both connectors.

There is a cable you can buy that lets you gang two power supplies so that they turn on at the same time. In fact, one came WITH my case, the Coolermaster Stacker STC T01 UWK (my case is designed for 2 power supplies as an option).

yeah I know I already have one but I wanted to know if it was ok to have the motherboard powered by two different psu's...the skulltrail has 2 8 pin power connectors in addition to the 24 pins. So one would provide power for the 24 pin and one 8 pin and the other would take care of the remaining 8 pin.

Should be ok but wanted a second opinion on this.
