Will there be a F@H section?
Anyone considering doing F@H for team GURU?:D
I think it would be sweet, maybe in the future we can out-fold the big guys:cool:

I may sound like a n00b - But where does one go to sign up for this team?
I had to search for it too. I don't remember exactly.
I should have at least one box on it within 20 minutes.

I believe you specify which team in the client.
Man I need to start folding again. I stopped when I built my Opteron system in May. The thing is currently down, too.
Now the next problem: I frequent three forums, but only have two cores in that system. Anybody know if there's a Mac client? :D
yup.
Use the Text client. Way faster.

I use to Fold at one time, now I run the BOINC client for SETI@home{Team MaximumPC}
and for Edison@home{Team AMD}:)
But I have more then one rig, so team GURU, here I Fold:D

I've got my P4 folding but I've got a wu to turn in first, I started it under no-name/team.
Thank god they finally came out with a core that hits HT on both "cores".

Thats what I like about SETI, you can run one instance per core per CPU,
and with BOINC, you can run up to 5 different clients at once:)

I would like to fold but I'm unsure of which project we are folding for?
And has it been authorized?

I ran 3 instances of the old core with no smp support and was making ~450 points a week and on this core I'm making about the same if not more with a single instance going and it's the graphic client.

I can't stand the ball and stick:)
Is it still 30 points a WU?
not even close, you're looking at a few hundred points per wu. unless your F@H is borked like mine and puts out about 5 points per work unit, and a good 400 work units a day..

Some are 500 points, some are 30. Depends on what you specify.

I specify large wu's prefered. I like getting at least 100+ points per wu.

How many WU are expected with say the Barton 3000+ per day?
Becouse It's only completed 1 since 5:30AM this morning:eek:
Mabey my shit is fraked up like Bbq's:p
madmat

1 per day isn't bad and your first wu is always a Tinker which is a very complex wu.

I did some faq reading at the home site and found out some stuff.
I enabled big WU's and the advanced flag, with no time limit,
and they gave both my P4's the GROMACS core.
So with the big WU's they award bonus points, not bad
Now I don't feel that stupid, boy this one is alot different then the ball and stick I ran in 2001:p
Thanks for the help:beer:

Had to turn loose the P3 850 from folding.
No way am I waiting 2 years for a WU:p
Gave it SETI duty instead;)
Will be replacing with 1000Mhz Athlon, instead of 2 years waitng for a WU,
now I only have 2 weeks to wait:p

It won't take 2 years. I have PIII 450's still making deadlines and no deadline si 2 years. The original estimates are always wonky...it takes a number of frames before it settles down.

9711/20000 frames, WU ends Dec. 08'
all big WU's with advanced script and no deadlines:)

Oh well. It works out great for me, I don't even have to turn on the heat at night:p
But the AC has to be on during the day,
or it turns into a sauna in this house:p

What's weird is when I click on the team number in the @home display, it brings up a dead page.
Is that normal?
I don't want to be folding for no one! :D
