Just get .Netframework 1.1{not 2.0}
It's nothing the average user has to worry about,
alot of programs require the interface to run, Limewire is one along with some Corp. versions of AV's.
I doubt that you will notice the difference when installed;)
The only thing you will notice, is a new user account for your .NET account.
Just delete that user account and all it's files,and your golden;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a newer card such as your own requires the Control Center, to do any kind of tweaking at all{one would think}
But alas, I'm not as hip on the newer ATI cards as I once was:o

Reason being, about 99.99% of my clients perfer Nvidia;)

Im having some trouble here =) sorry for my incompetence
I downloaded from ati.com the catalyst 6.10 drivers and the catalyst control center. First i installed the microsoft framework.net , then i installed the drivers and after that i installed the CCC. I went into device manager and i noticed that i have a yellow exclamation mark sayng unkown device =/ , clicked on properties and it sayd that the location for it its in the x1900 xt, what am i missing here?
Do i have to download the full driver package containing drivers , ccc and wdm integrated driver? i didnt download the WDM integrated driver cause i tough i didnt need that. What exactly is this WDM driver and is this why i have this unkown device in device manager? thx a lot for all the help .
I checked on my graphic card box now and it says VIVO on it , so im guessing i need this WDM integrated driver. Can anyone plz explain to me what can i do with this VIVO function and what it does ?

Have you tried running the Omega drivers? I always used to use those with my Radeon 9600xt. They don't have any of this CCC crap, just install and go.

I also remember being able to install just the ATI drivers w/o the CCC.

spaceman,

What card are you coming from? was it ATI? NV?

My best advice, always download the package...CCC and WDM.

Fire away if you have anymore issues.

You will have a primary and a secondary display for running dual monitors
you can set this up in the CCC according to your preferences;)

Most of the time{for me anyways} it's always the back one that is the primary, but once again, I have no experience with your card:o
