Your here to see a 1kw FSP PSU, right?
Wrong:p

It seems with the trouble the Epsilon's are having with the public, they would
cause FSP to reconsider their platform, and come out with a 1kw PSU like everybody else, but no.

FSP decided to combine a FSP700-80GLC OEM PSU, with a BoosterX3 and
call it a 1000w PSU

Of course they're seperate, but it seems FSP has given this combo it's own SKU#:p

And if you purchase this from FSP, they throw in a limited edition T-shirt:p

Well, that's marketing I guess.

Here's a similar deal with Thermaltake:

Not quite so blatant in claiming 1KW, though.

Thats crazy ...thats too expensive for one thing, its higher than a PC P&C Silencer 750. It's also Ugly, thats the most generic looking PSU on the market ..it looks like a 200w codgen,+ no sleeving. I guess their real market is OEM for those.

The Tt 750+250 combo has it beat all around in price and looks...But even at $180 that still buys a Da.mn nice standalone PSU

Wow. I can't justify that price.

What do the FSP based 850's run? Like that OCZ GameXstream 850W?

Retarded.

Why spend nearly $200 on two crap PSU's when you could get one good one?

I can understand the Booster for someone that already has a decent PSU that simply doesn't put out enough power for a high end rig, but to buy the combo right out of the gate is just silly.
