I've moderated forums before, but this is the first time I've ever put one up from scratch (and even then, I had LOTS of help.)

If there is a feature that you feel needs to be turned "on" or "off" or something that needs to be changed, please feel free to ask here. I'm open to every idea. Whatever it takes to make you guys feel welcome.

A couple off the top of my head:

If it was me I would ditch the rate a thread. It usually isn't worth using IMO.

And I would disable attachments. Goatse will magically appear  and it just makes the forum db huge.

Ok. I got rid of thread ranking, but kept attachments... at least for images.

I'll see how it goes. It should have it usefulness, but I can see how it can be abused.

Jonny, maybe quick reply can be enabled by default. Most people are used to that. :)

Oh... yeah. Now you have to click that little icon to enable the quick reply box. Yeah.. that doesn't make much sense. :D

It's the default theme. I haven't had time to change it. It should get changed up during the week (hopefully.)

Not really. More of a "most of the forum functionality is still at default settings" decision. :)

Take it easy on me. ;) These forums have only been up 24 hours and I work, have a family and do PSU reviews! :D

Tom, did you come from HardForums or Anandtech forums by any chance? It seems that most people did.

Honestly, I hate the size of the avatar pics. It makes threads a lot harder to read, because your eyes have to travel through the avatar, the name of the poster and the poster's title just to get to the content. It would be much easier if they were smaller, or alternatively, on the left side of the post. That way you could focur your eyes more to the right of the browser window to read through the posts smoothly.

I don't know if I can change where the avatar shows up, but if they bother you it's very easy to fix.

Just go to the User CP, go to Edit Options, and uncheck the "Show Avatars" box. You can also turn off signatures and other things.
