I'm sure everyone has seen this PSU before,
but, Hellfire runs two rigs off of it:p http://www.bigbruin.com/2006/tagan1100_1

I've had one loaded up to 993W (sans -12v and 5vsb) and let me tell you, it has quite a bit of ripple at that, enough that I'd be afraid to see what it'll be like at 1100W.

I was registering 80mV of ripple on the 12v rails and 60 on the 3.3v and 5v rails.

Makes me think that at full load she'd be really close to 120mV on the 12v rail and way out of spec on the others.

Some of the guys here have seen my screenshots of the Power Train @ about 800W and almost 200mV of ripple. It's not a pretty thing. ;)

Me too - I think Topower's asking for trouble releasing these 1kW+ units so soon for them.

This shows that the Power Strain has a design that is inferior to the design they use for the Tagans. That's too bad, I like PSU's with low RPM fans and 80's aren't capable of great aiflow at low db. It's just not going to happen.
