Interesting Review (http://www.guru3d.com/article/psu/492/1)

An interesting PSU that allows you to plug case funs into it and it will control the speed of the fans. That seems to be an interesting concept. Doesn't perform half bad either.

It controls the speed of the fans based on what??... the temperatures inside the PSU???

I have no idea about that, I'd would think that it ramps up the fan's rpm when it detects it needs to put out more power rather than temp's of the psu.

Even if it is slightly flawed, I find it the idea more useful than Hiper's "hey, lets add USB connectors to our psu's" idea.

Doesn't Antec already do that?

Antec TruePower (original circa 2002) did this with a special 2 wire "Fan Only" molex connector; there was even a connector for a MB fan header to monitor fan speeds.
IIRC the speed of the fans (probably controlled by voltage variation) depended entirely on the temperature of the PSU. I think it sped up fans to keep the temp at/below 45C at the PSU temperature sensor.

EDIT: GMTA, Silk :) I have no idea if Antec made/makes other supplies with this feature.

Right. Antec did it first.
