I'm having some problems getting my new build to post. I'm not entirely a noob, since this is my second build, but I would appreciate some advise from some of you with a little more experience.

What's New
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU
Intel D975XBX2 Motherboard
Ultra 750W PSU
Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2
ATI Radeon X1650 Pro

What's Old
The Case
All Drives
Water Cooling system

The only issue I encountered during the install was some spilt Fluid XP onto the video card while I was bleeding the fluid. I cleaned the card off using rubbing alcohol.

Upon startup, I get no video and no beeps. The fan and water pump do power up. I tried disconnecting everything except the motherboard, ram, and video card with no success. I do, however, get the standard 3 beeps when the ram is removed. Tried starting it up outside the case on some cardboard. Didn't help. Tried resetting the BIOS. No Dice.

Suggestions???

Try the different slots for the video card with only 1 stick of RAM at a time in the various sockets (Remove one DIMM, test, move vid card, test, move ram to next slot, test, repeat until all memory slots tested, then put vid card back in original slot, use the other DIMM and start the process again). Also, Intel says that the earliest BIOS version that supports the Q6600 is 2395, so you'll want to verify that once you get a boot.

Good. Now put the RAM back in, pull the graphics card and see if you get the standard no graphics card beep.

I tried moving the cards and the ram around. No luck. I'm 99.9% sure the BIOS supports the CPU since both are brand new and all of the documentation from the mobo indicates that it does.

While the RAM is in the slots, I get no beeps without the video card in.

Option? Did they send me a faulty video card or mobo maybe. I still have 2 weeks to RMA

With the RAM in and graphics card out, you should get beeps. The fact that you don't sort of rules out the graphics card and points to the nmotherboard. But before we sign that mobo's death cert, let's pull it out of the case and try to get it to post on a non-conductive surface.

Already did. All this testing has been on a piece of cardboard.

Just a quick update: I gave intel tech support a quick call. Apparently, the voltage on my RAM was wrong. The chips I bought are 2.1 volts, but the mobo only supports 1.8 and 1.9. I'll post the outsome when my new RAM gets in.
