Monueal Moncasa PS1000 sereis.

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=27588&vpn=PS1000-300W&manufacture=Moneual

It came with a special bundle deal a few days ago; That psu, a pretty well built monueal case (solid aluminum doors, solidly built steel, tool less, 120mm fan, proper fitting panels, etc), an ECS 6100 board, 1gb DDR2, and a Sempron 3000+.

And my friend insisted on buying that combo for $130, which is actually not too bad. He also insisted that I use that PSU. Any idea who makes it? No UL numbers (but a ul stamp), no pictures either.

I'm going to say Solytech on this one.

Look into the heatsinks and the input filtering.

See a lot of those sold in Europe as an EZcool "700W"...I think the OEM may be Youngyear.

No. Not Youngyear. Some of the units on that site are Youngyear, but they all seem to be different OEM's.

Looks like the Solytech 430W unit I tested about a year ago....

The heatsinks are of the T-shaped type with holes drilled in it.
