that annoys the friggin hell outta me..
i know that this is an antec sp-500 and that its extremely failure-prone due to the shit capacitators that antec decided to put in them...
mine is now buzzing. im worried. i dont have the cash to replace one right now, and if it takes out my computer one of these days, then im screwed. its in the machine i use for school, and without it, im screwed.
any word of advice? what could possibly happen if the psu failed? i know that theres the possibility of the whole system going down the toilet but are the chances of that high?
thanks.

SP 2.0? Bought recently? It seems that your PFC circuitry is dying. At least here 90% of problems with latest batches of SP 2.0 were about PFC circuit.

Also, with a buzz, could be a loose transformer winding. Which would be harmless.
Just annoying.

Thanks everyone.
What should I do? What's the MOST PROBABLE cause of the problem?
My dad says that as long as it doesnt die, we're fine. He doesn't believe that there's the possibility of the whole computer going down the drain. Somebody explain to me please? lol thanks
