I was reading through the reviews and threads, pondering which PSU to plan on getting for my upcoming rig, and I thought of a question. For product lines, such as Seasonic S or M series, or the Silverstone Strider PSUs, how much difference is there usually between different PSUs of the same product line?
I was wondering this, as I'm thinking about getting the Silverstone ST75F (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817256009), and the closest review to this power supply is the Silverstone ST60F review. (http://jonnyguru.com/PSU/ST60F/)
Just a question about a line of thought. Ya'll have a good one...

Well, I have my replacement ST75F now, so I should have that review done at the end of this month.
In some cases, products within the same line are very similar. Like the ST75F, for example. It's very similar to the ST60F. But this isn't always the case. ;)
Take this 600W X-Finity (http://www.ultraproducts.com/product_details.php?cPath=52&pPath=383&productID=388) and this 800W X-Finity (http://www.ultraproducts.com/product_details.php?cPath=52&pPath=383&productID=538), for example. They're not even from the same OEM!
also the SilverStone Strider ST56F and the Silverstone Zeus ST56ZF (different lines same manufacturer )
it's said that the Strider has lower quality components than the Zeus ST56ZF which uses higher quality etasis - based server components
(Shamelessly stolen from another forum .. :D )

Ahh.. That explains it.
I think just for that you should demote him to powmax user :p
Well really I didn't think my first post was all that far off topic
but you never can tell how it's going to go around here, so I just tried to make the best of it.
