Looks like Zalman is bringing some of its higher-wattage units to retail

80Plus certified, modular cables and extremely quiet.

Looks like they've Enhanced their offerings compared to the old FSP models ;)

Wonder if it is a custom PCB like their FSP models.....but it doesn't look like it.

Certainly one of the more interesting Enhance 850W variants I've seen.
Funny how the SilverStone Strider ST85F, which is the exact same unit, actually scored better efficiency. Hmm... wonder why that is.

Hmmm......seems there are some funky efficiency numbers all around.

I have the 600HP and it works great, im surprised to see zalman making such high quality PSU's, i love the whole heatpipe design, really revolutionizing PSU heat dissipation by bringing some of the qualitys of CPU heatsinks to the Power supply.

Looking at the internals, the Strider definately isn't the same exact unit...

Please please please Johnny, Test that baby!!
I think this one can be easy adapted to watercooling.
Just mount some waterblock on to the fins of the heatpipe.
And the ventilator constant on 5 Volt to be on the save side.

(BTW In germany its alreaddy available)

You're right. The Strider is a much older Enhance platform than the Antec, Zalman or Cooler Master.

Some air flow is needed for cooling the capacitors and coils.

Yeah. You simply can't just go with NO fans. You can do what Zalman did and slow the fan since the heatpipes carry most of the heat to the radiator, but no electronic components like working in a hot vacuum.

Yes I know that. (And i am pointed that out in my post already)
I have a 450Watt Enermax with watercooling witch have mounted a 120mm papst fan that always run with unaudible 5 Volts. to cool the rest of the components in the psu.
But the guy ho did built this baby diddent built this things no longer.
So if a wont a watercooled psu, i unforuned have to ,,built,, it my self.
There is ,so far as i know, only one guy left ho did built watercooling in a enermax infinity. ( EDV-EXTREM ) in Germany
Butt i dont like his ,,approach,, sinds he only putt a ,,watercooled,, aluminium-block on the heatsinks that are alreaddy present in the psu.
In his psu there is no other airflow present and also no possebility to add some airflow to it.
The thing are also way to expencife couse he charce more than 400 Euro,s for the psu.

ST85F is similar with antec's 850w
this zalman's is similar with coolermaster's 850w psu.
two different structures.

I've corrected myself since that post. It is indeed a different Enhance 850W platform.
