are you talking about women as eye candy or women who are as tech savvy as you are? Men in general have a hard time viewing a woman as a peer. I know in my industry (truck driving) capable women are often viewed with scorn. Granted, trucking ain't computers and such, but I can't see gender issues being much different elsewhere.

MS Dawn is an attractive uber-geek in her middle years.
Read what she offered http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21
I happen to like her, so please treat her well.

Both. Saddly everywhere i seem to go, guys outnumber women greatly :(, guess that's what i get for going to engineering school and browsing computer and car forums :p.

If there were more women on this forum, am I wrong to assume that we
would treat them "just like one of the guys"?
Being as they might be just as savvy if not more?
I have yet to meet one,but I won't deny their existence:D

Very correct. I believe providing a non-discriminatory and relaxed environment conducive to good discussion, would be the best way to draw women into contributing. A simple reminder to keep one's hormones in check would be a good start.

Well, here you go. Pics of my wife building her Opty 148 machine (http://digitalportfolios.org/graphics/temp/liz/). And if anyone here plays GW, she'll be glad to play with. She pwns me in GW. Sadly, the ATOT forums are more of her forte`...
EDIT: Yes, the tech chcks do exist... You should have seen my wife's face when I mentioned getting her a dual core Opty for X-mas. It was classic.

Bad thermal paste technique :( single drop in the center of heatspreader, squish, twist, lock.
That's awesome though.

You buy the game, and it's free to play. There is no monthly fee or anything...

What am I missing here?
Hence by buying the game, you have paid for your account.
I'm talking about downloading it for free, then getting a cheap $9.99
account, instead of paying $40-$50 for the game:)
You buy the game, then you play it forever for no extra cost.
WoW: You buy the game, and you pay a measly fee of your first born, your bank account, and bankrupcy filing papers per month.
if you want to be among women and you are still studying, try a year or so abroad. im on erasmus in helsinki now, and living together with 4 girls!
