Hi, some years ago I read somewhere that the total manufacturing cost including bill of materials for a 300w PC ATX PSU was ca $30
Anyone know if there is any truth in this? I'd just like some ball park figure to know. I've seen the 300W FSP ATX-300PNF PSU for 350SEK, that's about $50 or £37 with todays exchange rate
And I'm assuming that is a PSU that could actually deliver 300W in a torture test without blowing up or going out of the ATX spec or doing anything else horribly stupid like a 450w DEER PSU does when loaded with 150W :wall:

Just looking for what to put in PC's that have the worst shit PSU's and thusly need a (cheap) upgrade, because that is what the owner will be for using a crap PSU to begin with
