Q6600 and Zalman CNPS 9700 LED OC

Thought I'd give you some results:

Ambient: 73F

Humidity: 51%

Stepping: B3

Prime 95 Version 25.3

Case: Antec 900-all case fans are on medium

Zalman fan is set to 100%

Top picture is idle, while the bottom is after 30 minutes of P95

I ordered an IFX-14 today , will be here Friday along with 2x120mm 76cfm fans....should be interesting. Those results will come sometime that afternoon, depending on when UPS gets here.

Thermal paste was used per Arctic Silvers instructions, then by my method of coating the IHS. Results were 1c different.

That is cooler than my Opty 170, which idles at 36C (3.1GHz) ..

I played some Lost Planet, (set the game in the options to use all four cores)and logged my temps for 35 minutes, it averaged out to 53c.

Not sure how to post the log since there is...maybe 300 lines. If you know how I can post it up so people can scroll through it, give me a holler and I'll put it up.

I played with the voltage a bit, this is where it's stable now, the hottest core on Prime was 62c after half hour.

So, dropping the voltage didn't do much for idle, but it did drop 5c under load, which is nice. The room is also 76F, just turned on the central air, which is 3F higher than they were yesterday.

hi Sphere,

if you still want to give us a temp log, TAT can make a nice little Excel log.
or just take a printscreen of said log, at it significant section ?

What thermal compound are you using? Why not use a 140 mm fan for the ifx?

I'm using AS5, I don't have the IFX on yet, my fans won't get here until tomorrow.
