I wouldn't say the Gigabyte is "better" to the point where I'd remove a perfectly good Hiper and replace it with the Gigabyte. :D

The Gigabyte is a CWT with all Japanese caps. The Hiper is an Andyson AD-800 server unit with Teapos.

They're both very good.

The Gigabyte is a good performer but I woundn't say it is priced to its performance. All those bangs and whistles on the GT series add alot to the cost it seems.

my odin gt arrived and i test it. my first impresion is:

the 12v line in hyper is 12,35v in odin 12,15v
3,3v line in hyper is 3,25 in odin 3,35v
5v line in hyper is 4.98 in odin 5,10v

i have core2 e6600@3500 2x1gb ram, 5 hard disk, 1 radeon hd2900xt. 3 fan, and high end liquid cooling.

I think the gigabyte give best voltajes.

the gigabyte its a more quiet psu and the software of this psu have good look.

i like jonnyguru test one unid of this psu "gigabyte".

only a question what´s psu´s are baset in CWT? "seasonic?, ocz?...."

CWT is CWT.

And high voltages don't always mean better voltages. An engineer can tweak up the voltages to output 13V idle if they want to. That doesn't attest for the quality of the regulation, ripple and noise or anything else.

IMO, I would have bought the cheaper Odin Pro 800W....

You would be surprised at the performance of this thing. For the price, the performance isn't up to par but if the Pro version offers the same performance at maybe $40 less, then the Pro 550W is right up there with some really good PSUs.

Well, I got the Ptuner app running after an update to the retail version.....

And damn me if it isn't pretty accurate. I can't believe it but I checked and rechecked and this software program is within .04V of my Fluke and within a few *C of my Compunurse.
