Which one would you choose?
Corsair HX520W -- I like the modular design, the nice overall package, and the 5-year warranty is nice. But is the ripple enough to be concerned about?
ENP-5150GH -- will save me $50 over the Corsair. 80+ efficiency. However, not modular, and only 1 year warranty.
Would you spend the extra $50 for the Corsair even though the ripple is worse? Why? :)
Thanks.

Enhance builds the Element and Strider series for Silverstone.
The Element has sleeving and more 4 pin Molex connectors than the Enhance.
PLUS a three year warrenty.

Don't just look at the aspect that the Corsair is modular. It also has more power.
The Corsair HX520W has 480W on the 12V while the Enhance only has 432. That's a difference of 4A. ;)

Hmmm. What's your take on the ripple? I've read a lot of stuff and the two camps seem to be of: it's "within spec" and fine...another camp is "it'll slowly degrade your components over time" -- what're your thoughts?

The less ripple the better, sure. But I doubt anything that's within spec is going to be harmful to your components. That's the point about having a spec. ;)

I have never used the ENP-5150GH, however I can assure you the Corsair's are of the highest quality. ;)

I keep wavering between the Corsair and Enhance. It's a pretty big price difference, and I don't need the extra amps on the Corsair... :(
Ugh. Decisions!

Then get the Corsair.
If it's in budget, then it shouldn't be a tough decision.

One day you might need them, you never know:)
It's better to have more then you need, then not enough:D

Doh.. For some reason I read YOU DO need the extra amps. :D
Well... again, if the modualr aspect of it really isn't important... seriously. It's a matter of priorities. If you figure out what's more important TO YOU it should be an easy decision. Other people can't tell you what's best for YOU when it really comes down to personal preference. ;)

Depending on what your current specs are, you could probably run a 5140gh without a problem. With the 5150gh, you can run sli 7900gt's or probably
x1950pro's in xfire. The corsair has a great amount of amps/dollar, but it's a waste if you don't need them. The quality of the enhance units are very high as well. All top quality components, caps, sinks, the fan is fairly quiet, and like has been said, has 80% efficiancy. Great buy if you ask me...:D
