View Full Version : 331 Prescott (Celeron D 2.66) Resale Value

Anyone know what the realistic resale value of a 331 Prescott (w/ OEM HSF) should be? I already know that hardware typically looses 50% as soon as it leaves the warehouse. NewEgg is currently selling these for $37. Is it even worth the hassle of trying to sell something like this or should I just keep it as a spare in the, unlikely, event I develop a problem with one of my LGA775 systems?

Make a keychain out of it :p

On a more serious note - keep it as a spare, it's always useful to keep the spare, 100% working parts in case some problem will arise.

naww, done that already. Have a 386DX40 and a 486DX4-100 keychain. Man, those were bad ass chips back in the day. :D

Or built a cheap HTPC with it and maybe pair it with a NV Geforce 7300gs or ATI X1300, so you can watch HD video/movies without having a fast cpu.

Good luck!
