Hi there!

I'm currently in the process of putting together a new File/VMWare-Server and got most of the hardware set. Remaining is actually just the PSU.
Now, I haven't got a clue with what PSU I should go and could certainly use some guidance here :)

The current "Shopping list" is as follows:

CPU: 2 x Opteron 2212 (with a Zalman CNPS9500 each)
Board: TYAN Thunder n3600B (S2927) (http://tyan.com/product_board_detail.aspx?pid=175)
RAM: 8 x 1GB DDR2 667 (Kingston ValueRAM KVR667D2D8P5/1G)
Video/Audio: Onboard
HDD: 10-12 IDEs & SATAs mixed
Fans: 4 x 120mm + 2 x 80mm

With that set, I took the components and ran them through the calculator at http://www.extreme.outervision.com which recommended me a 650W PSU (at 100% System Load, no Capacitor Aging and TDP set to 85% - all default if you will).

Well that’s where I'm stumped now and I thought I'd get some "professional help" before making any bad choices ;)

Brought to a point my questions would be:

a) Do I really get by with 650W or do I need more/less?
b) Are there any specific brands/models you can recommend for my Setup (based on experience)?

Well that's about it I think; hope I didn't forget any crucial info and thanks in advance for any replies!
