There's still a few that I don't understand, so if someone could enlighten me on these:

I really can't tell the uL number, or who makes it from the guts.

Shenzhen Chi Yuan.

Probably. Got a link? Aerocool's website only shows the Zero dba and the Turbine Power, both are Andyson.

Silverstone Fanless 300w. Etasis / Enhance?

A lot more internet detective-ism (a whole week, to be precise), and I've found out that the aerocool is, indeed, andyson.

More interrogation / questions:

how good is shenzhen chi yuan?
Optimax is made by ??? I have a hunch it's Leadman or Deer, but I can't be sure right now.
How are the Wintech's? Not like what wintech makes for other people, but units branded as wintech and sold like that?

I never even heard of Shenzhen Chi Yuan before Oklahoma Wolf pointed them out to me.

Wintech makes a full range of product, but the Wintech's I've seen with the Wintech name have been pretty decent. My problem with Wintech is that they always about 3 to 5% behind everyone else in efficiency, their APFC cicuitry is HUGE and gets hot and they crossload.

I don't think Optimax is Deer or Leadman. Probably a little better than either. But I can't say how much better, if at all.

They look not too bad, but the only good review of one I can recall I can't find anymore. It was in one of the roundups at THG - an Evergreen unit. They seem to like Teapo capacitors on the outputs.

Edit - found the review I was thinking of, didn't have a SCY built unit in there after all.
