my gtx does at least 650/2200 24/7 with stock cooling and fan at 85% The core probably tops out at 665 and the mem artifacts at 2250, I already got my ultra lol, I paid $531 with next day shipping from microcenter too :)

You're one of a few with the best bin then. Most people have not been able to hit 645/2050, let alone that that.

I have a very good pair of GTX XXX by XFX. One of them on watercooling with double rad, it only reaches 655/2100 stable 24/7 with no heat issues. Maximum heat I allow is 75C under load, heavy workstation load I'm talking about where you can utilize more geometry, vertex, physics and pixel SPs. Otherwise, it can reach a maximum of 659/2210 combined.

Without heat issues, If I drop the mem. clock to 2000MHz, it reaches 657MHz core clock. If I drop the core clock to 631MHz I can reach ~2231MHz on memory.

Either way it's pointless, since the mArchitecture is developed to work on a "range" bases rather than per clock bases.

If you increase the shader clock to the next higher "range", the core clock also increases contemporaneously. They are synchronized and controlled by the same base clock IIRC. A very similar situation with the memory.

So all of the clocks only move up in notches to affect performance. Like say 622-641MHz core is all in the same base clock and same performance level, but 642MHz+ core is the next higher step of performance, etc.

AFA the Ultra goes - I think nVidia is just trying to rip off the hyped up rich boy enthusiasts TBH, by making use of their last product gained rep ATM. The same product can't get much better than the IHV oc'd G80GTX. It already has cooling and power issues at this fab level. IDK the truth in what's out there even, at this moment in time it serves nothing to me but mere impressionistic rumor, which means I will wait until the NDA is lifted unless I get a sneak preview myself through someone acquainted before believing most of it. ;)

yes I am serious, it has green pcb and its a lucky one, the other one I had only did 650/2000 :) Isnt there a special way to manipulate the shader clocks without having to mess with the core to increase it first?

It's quite simple: Volt mod it. Core 750mhz+ easily with minor voltage increase.

Just got to see the Ultra performance in action, what a farce. Stick with your G80GTX. Most AIB G80GTXs' are clocking at 630/2100 combined.
