I have a cousin that works for a travel agency in Casselberry as a
IT consultant:rolleyes:
He knows dick about hardware, and the admin of the agency seems to know even less.

It so happens that they happen to have 2 of these sitting on a shelf, still in the box:crazy: due to a shipping screw up!
So, to make a long story short, they are at each others throats over the decision to use these PSU's to power two new Dual Xeon RAID servers, that
will only be saving credit card #'s on Excel:eek:

So my cousin wanted me to ask the Guru's here what they thought about useing these PSU's.
All I could get out of them spec wise, was 4xSATA's per unit besides the
Xeon's,
I guess their not sure:rolleyes:

I know nothing of I-star except they are in the server industry,
and speaking of which,
the 3.3 & 5v rails look a little bit shy for a server unit

I really could not find much on this unit, except for this review,
which shows some nice innard shots:D

Any feedback would be great:) http://www.modthebox.com/review478_1.shtml

It is overkill, but as they have then, they might as well use them. Good high-quality PSU's. ;)

That's a Seventeam and the same PSU that the MGE Duro 900 is based on. You should see if the cousin can get his hands on them for you as they're pretty nice.

Shit,I wish I would have known,I would have told him they were junk and have him "scew me up an order":D

The orginal IT is the one who ordered the units,my cousin is the consult:)
Not sure if they have the manifest still or not:confused:

Just got off the blower with my cousin,
and I tried to convince him to claim one of them as being DOA:p
that way I could drive down there and pick it up,
then procede to mail it to jG for testing:D
That got him really excited:p
I'll be sure to let ya'll know as soon as I do,
which should be Monday:)

Cool, it'll be interesting to see how they do. I know the Duro I have is a total beast, can't wait to build a system that really needs it.
