Guess I can add this to my list of reviews to be done in October. In fact, with the death of an Antec Trio 650W and Silverstone ST75F, it looks like it got bumped to the top of the list!

Do they OEM somebody selling units in the US?

Availability seems to be sketchy at best. I couldn't even find pricing in Taiwan or Japan. None of the sites that come up with a Google talk about pricing even in Yen or NTD.

I got a unit as a sample because it was supposedly and OEM from an AMD Quad-Core graphics workstation. Like the kind used to make movies like Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

Did you see that ST-850-AD unit?

+5V = 40a
+3.3V = 30a
+12V1 =18a
+12V2 =18a
+12V3 =18a
+12V4 =18a
-12V =.8a
+5VSB =4a

Wow!

That's beautiful.

Any chance for a seventeam 620 in the future?

I pay no mind to that list when it comes to power supplies.

Note that pretty much every cap ever used on the secondary side of a PSU is on that list except for NCC/UCC and Rubycon.

No. Why should I? Are you sending me one?

that looks damn nice. What are the chances it'll be in any way quiet? :p

Is it me,or the cables on the ATX con. look a little cheap?
it's probably just me:p

I'm afriad not. The whole unit is cooled by a single 80MM, mounted on the outside end, and needs to move enough air to cool a very obstructed secondary circuitry located all of the way at the front. :(

Is it me,or the cables on the Molex's look a little cheap?
it's probably just me:p

They only sleeve up to the first connector, so after the first connector the cables do not look too handsome.

I noticed that the 12V4 rail on the 1000w has an output of up to 26amps on it. Would that be for the video cards do you think or is the rail used for anything you want? Or would that rail be designated for another use? Not sure how rails are designated for what components. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how the various rails work.

That's probably the rail for the PCI-e connectors. I'll figure it out eventually. I haven't had much time to really look closely at this thing.

No updates at all. I'm afraid I've got a very full schedule. I just wanted to share the pictures so any initial questions could be answered.

I was really looking forward to this one. Too bad you have such a busy schedule, I can only imagine how many PSUs you have sitting around....

With X-Mas and CES I HAD TO slow down. Matt has at least two in the works and I have three including this one.

Just an FYI, last week I received the Silvertone Olympia version of this PSU. I should be able to review it in a couple months, but if I get a chance to post some photos and early observations, I will.

I just bought one from Newegg for my Bad Axe 2 / ATI setup. I received it on Friday but haven’t had a chance to install it yet.

I’m very interested in your thoughts on this PSU.
