Ok.. I'm working on my MicroFly and I have two 5.25" bays and one 3.5" bay. The two 5.25" bays are taken.
I want a card reader in the front, but I also want to be able to control the two case fans.
I can find a 3.5" bay device w/ card reader, fan controller, USB ports and audio jacks... but I don't need all of that!
You would think with most cases coming with front USB and audio, they quit putting those on drive bay devices!!!!
Thermaltake makes one that's just a fan controller and card reader, but it's 5.25" bay. :(
I was thinking about modding my case to accept some knobs, but I'm not sure if I can give the case a finished look.
One solution was to pop out the front audio jacks (don't need them) and put fan controller knobs through the holes. But then I need a fan controller with the knob situated to where I can stick it through the hole (picture the Zalman fan mate, but with the knob on the end.)
The other option was just putting a fan controller in an internal hard drive bay and then drilling out the bezel for the knobs of the fan controller. My big problem with this is giving the bezel a "finished" look, but I was thinking I might be able to put grommets around my holes. Not sure about this option. :(
