BFG Technologies®, Inc. announced today that the BFG 1000 Watt and BFG 800 Watt power supplies backed by BFG's famous lifetime warranty will be immediately available at leading retailers and e-tailers in North America. "We continue to see a trend for PC's needing more power due to the success of NVIDIA's SLI technology as well as the multiple hard drives and multi-core CPU processors that enthusiasts are placing in their systems," said Scott Herkelman, executive vice president of BFG Technologies. "The BFG 1000 Watt and 800 Watt power supplies are geared to handle these power hungry components and provide gamers and enthusiasts alike with flexible, stable and superior power than what they may get from their power supply today."

If BFG sticks with Topower, I imagine the truth will be much more entertaining than just about anything he could make up :p

Is anybody really that surprised?
Next we'll be seeing Raidmax 1kw, Okia 1kw and you know for a fact
Antec 1kw.

Reminds me of the amps back in the day,1200watt Boss amps with a 25''
chassis and a 6'' PCB:p

I'm not sure if Topower build such monstrous units? It could very well be a different OEM. Usually, price is a rough indicator of the OEM. :)

Why credit taking it from [H] when it's right on BFG's site?

http://www.bfgtech.com/power_supply_1000W.html

And Topower does build such models. Take a look at the Tagan 1000W and 1100W. And look at Topower's website and you'll see a modular 1kW: The "Power Train."

Roger that. I didn't realize Tagan had 1 kW units out in the market. :)

"

...I pulled it from H, didn't bother cross refrencing at BFG, so I gave credit to the site I took it from.

I don't have a problem with them being made by Topower if it keeps the prices down.
Though their not real highly reguarded PSU's. But I have one that has served me well
the last few months in my old A64 3200 clawhammer system with AGP 6800GS.

I found out later i could have done much better with the $47 I spent on it
but it's fine for this system really.

BFG has some very loyal fans that will eat these things up (Reguardless of Manuf.) go look around all their PSU's are sold out or on backorder at most retailers
