ASUS seems to be having a few too many boards being RMAed.
I *think* it might be down to cold solder joints due to the switch to lead-free solder (RoHS compliant).
Lead-free solder has a higher soldering temp and all joints MUST be uber-clean before the solder bath.
Lead-free does not wet as easily as lead based solder and even the good joints have a frosted appearance.
