Hi all,
Can a 30 inch LCD Monitor shorten the life span of the 1x 8800GTX card if you are playing games every day?

Not really. A poorly ventilated case will affect it more than playing at high resolution will when used in a well ventilated case. Cooling is the key to many problems.
