We had a member have squeeling from his 750 ToughPower. I have an idea it *might* have been an issue with his hardware. jonny had no such squeel in his load testing, iirc.

I wish I had that exact unit to play with, but I don't.

From what I've seen of the insides, it's a better build quality than the Toughpower, but I can't imaging the two 80MM fans being quieter than the Thermaltake's one 140MM.

Also, I fear that those cow udder cables hanging into the case are going to cause a problem for some folks. Initially, before Intel announced they were going to discontinue BTX, Hiper announced this as a BTX power supply because the cables would not be a problem in a BTX build.

Perhaps we should call it a toss up.

I would love to ask Hiper for a sample, but my schedule of PSU's to review is too jam packed. :(

I'm guessing that your choice is between these two because you lve on the island of Jockshnaw or something? That's what it always turns out to be, even though it is rarely revealed in the first post. ;)

These are the only 2 psu that i can get locally.
Can you recommend a good 750W PSU.

Thanks

We don't know why you need a 750W unit but if you want one of the best? Here it is.

OK here is my Spec

E6600@ 4GHz 1.58v
Asus P5B deluxe
2Gb Patriot 6400LLK@ DDR2 1000 2.3v
7900GT@ 720/1790 (1.55v)
X-FI sound card
3 Harddisk
2 dvd drives
4 120mm fan

All of the about run off a 520w topower PSU that is 3.5 years old. That is why i want a new PSU. I want to get a new graphic later on and the graphic card these day require lot of juice to run.

A good 500W unit will carry that and a 600W would be overkill.
So it comes down to cost and what your REAL future plans are.
