Seasonic built....very nice. But my kingdom for sleeved cables!!!!

This is what Antec will be using in their newest Sonata III I hear.

Looks like you have quite a few interesting reviews coming up Jonny. :D

The 380W and 430W varients are already being bundled with alot of Antec
cases, they have replaced their NeoHE combos with these and the Basiq line:)
I've already accuried 2 of the EA380's that came bundled with the Sonata II:)
Too bad jG already has the EA500:o

Looks like another cheaper Seasonic build to me. Group regulated with a mix of OST, Chemi-con, and what looks like Teapo on the secondary. The Trio is a better design IMO.

What, even the Sonata II's are getting these now? That's awesome.

Then what about the 80PLUS certification that the Trio doesn't have? I find it interesting that the heatsinks in the Earthwatts lineup seem suited to a bottom-mounted 120mm fan, not a rear-mounted 80mm fan.

BB has the NSK4400 with a EA380 for $69;)

I'll take independant regulation over efficiency any day ;)

No, it is the Sonata 3 that will be getting these.

The second I saw the heatsinks, I already knew it was Seasonic.

But, it just looks like there's so few guts..

AFAIK, the EA380 and the EA430, are the only Earthwatts offerings so far to be bundled
in Antec cases, I know nothing about the Sonata III and bundled EA500:o

Yeah. This thing makes an FSP Epsilon look like the inside of the A Train during rush hour.

This PSU and a bag of sugar and you have the weight of a Powmax.

But we'll see how it does on the load tester in a bit....

I humbly request a video of the hot box load tests 3~5. :D

if I can ask a stupid question, why does the PCB have "ATX400w" in the corner? does that even matter? (ok, that was two stupid questions)

That's common. They'll reuse the PCB from a smaller PSU and just upgrade the components to suit the higher output.

For example, if I remember correctly, the PCB for the Ultra X-Finity 600W says WIN-400 on it. :D

the 430W version got good grades at spcr, with very low ripple and good voltage regulation, so i expect that this one is going to do good on jonnys load tester.
