ZEUS 1200W Review

Hope you guys enjoy. I know it isn't done with an ATE but I like taking a bit different approach.

I'd also like to thank Oklahoma Wolf for answering a few questions I had about the more complicated design features of this one.

Oh on a tangently related item...it looks like your concerns about the Hiper 880w were correct.

Ah yes, I saw that. I love it when two or more reviews work out to achieve the same results with different testing methodologies.

You're welcome

Good job on the review. There's a typo in the spec table, unless Silverstone's adding some oddball new "sing rail mode" to the final product

Ooo. Just noticed that. Well, I guess it is better than the Chinglish we see every now and then from other manufacturers.

Good work. If you are gonna use multiple systems as nonlinear load, why not build an interface board that can handle this? I mean PSU--> IFB-->Multiple rigs

Also, why the 10 sec delay in spinup. Why do you want to do a staggered spin up?

To tell you the truth, this is probably the ONLY review which will get the dual systems. Going forward, I will probably eliminate powering the second CPU and switch out the single 8800GTX with a pair of 8800GT or 8800GTS 320MB cards. Time was short for this review and a lower-end PSU blew the stuffing out of my SLI connector and one of my spare 320MB cards so I had to improvise.

I wanted to concentrate of quad GPUs but fate would not let me do it.

With this setup I NEEDED to start the main rig (with the HD2900XT cards) first because the ATX connector was plugged into its motherboard. If I started the second rig first or even at the same time, the CPU and GPU from that rig would not be powered straight off the line.
